Recommended professions
Recommended for Warrior:
The warrior is the plate-wearing melee class of WoW Forever. While leveling, it hits hard with a slow two-handed weapon, but it depends heavily on that weapon and needs short breaks between fights. This page explains how to level a warrior from 1 to 60 in Forever, and what your However guide builds for you.
The warrior while leveling
Warriors use rage instead of mana. Rage builds up as you deal and take damage, then drains away out of combat. You start each pull with little rage, so Charge and Bloodrage open the fight. Your health is the real limit: after most fights, you eat or use a bandage before the next pull.
- Strengths: strong hits with a two-handed weapon, plate armor from level 40, and a big jump in power with every weapon upgrade.
- Weaknesses: downtime between fights, few escape tools, and a hard time against several monsters at once in the early levels.
- Stances: Battle Stance from the start, Defensive Stance through a class quest at level 10, Berserker Stance through a class quest at level 30.
Recommended leveling spec
The guide's default build is Arms with a slow two-handed weapon, then Fury. You spend 31 points in Arms up to Mortal Strike at level 40, then 20 points in Fury for Cruelty, Unbridled Wrath, Blood Craze and Enrage. Forever reworks the Arms tree: Weaponmaster replaces the Classic weapon specializations, and Two-Handed Weapon Specialization stops at 3 ranks. A Fury build for dual wielding is also listed in the talent calculator.
- Weapon: the slowest two-handed weapon you can find. The guide prefers a speed of 3.2 seconds or more.
- Stats: Strength first. Critical strike and hit chance are worth a lot per percent. Agility and Stamina come next.
- Rage: Heroic Strike and Rend early, then Overpower, Mortal Strike and Whirlwind as you learn them.
Common mistakes
- Keeping an old weapon for too long. Check your gear plan at each new level bracket.
- Buying every rank at the trainer. Group tools such as Taunt, Sunder Armor or shield abilities are not needed solo, and the gold is better saved for level 40.
- Pulling more than you can handle. Hamstring slows a fleeing monster, and Intimidating Shout (level 22) buys time to escape.
- Using Bloodrage at low health: it gives rage but costs health.
What your However guide builds for a warrior
Your guide gives a step-by-step route from your starting zone to level 60. It places your class trainers on the map (a warrior learns something every two levels from level 4), adds the stance quests, spends one talent point per level, and suggests a weapon plan for every five levels. On a PvP realm, it also shows warrior tips for dangerous zones. Create your character to get it, try the build in the talent calculator, or check the gear page.
The reference Alliance warrior in this guide is a human. Humans, dwarves, night elves and gnomes can all be warriors, and so can High Order Skyborne, whose starting island is not covered by the guide yet. Humans start in Northshire Valley in Elwynn Forest, dwarves and gnomes in Coldridge Valley in Dun Morogh, night elves in Shadowglen in Teldrassil. At level 10, everyone joins the shared Alliance route in Westfall.
- Defensive Stance: the Bartleby chain in Stormwind ("Bartleby the Drunk", then Harry Burlguard). Ironforge and Darnassus have their own versions.
- Berserker Stance: take "The Islander" from the city trainer, then travel to The Barrens for "The Affray" and Big Will on Fray Island.
- Full trainers: Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus and Theramore.
- Early dungeons on the way: The Deadmines, The Stockade and Blackfathom Deeps.

Frequently asked questions
- Which spec should a warrior level as in WoW Forever?
- The guide uses Arms with a slow two-handed weapon up to Mortal Strike at level 40, then Fury for Cruelty, Unbridled Wrath, Blood Craze and Enrage. A dual-wield Fury build is also available in the talent calculator.
- Best race for a Horde warrior in WoW Forever?
- Any Horde race can level a warrior well. The guide uses an orc as its reference character, but undead, tauren and trolls follow the same route from level 10, with their own starting zone before that.
- Is the warrior slow to level?
- The warrior needs breaks to eat between fights and relies on its weapon, so the early levels can feel slower. A good two-handed weapon, careful pulls and bandages make a big difference.
- When do I get Defensive and Berserker Stance?
- Defensive Stance comes from a class quest at level 10, and Berserker Stance from the quest "The Affray" at level 30. Your guide places both quests on your route.
- When do I get my mount as a warrior?
- The trainer milestones place the mount and plate armor at level 40. The guide skips group-only spells such as Taunt or Sunder Armor so you keep more gold for that step.
