However is a free, unofficial leveling guide for WoW Forever. It builds a step-by-step route from your class and race, then shows every quest, kill and trip on the map. This page explains the shared Alliance route from level 10 to 60. Your own guide adapts it to your character.
How the Alliance route works in WoW Forever
Each Alliance race starts in its own zone up to level 10: Elwynn Forest for humans, Dun Morogh for dwarves and gnomes, Teldrassil for night elves. From level 10, every Alliance character joins the same route, split into level brackets. Each bracket has main zones, safe alternatives and optional zones.
- 10-20: Westfall (Sentinel Hill), then Redridge Mountains (Lakeshire). Elwynn Forest and Loch Modan are fallbacks; Darkshore is optional.
- 20-30: Duskwood (Darkshire), Wetlands (Menethil Harbor) and Ashenvale (Astranaar). Stonetalon Mountains is optional.
- 30-40: Desolace, Thousand Needles, then Dustwallow Marsh (Theramore). Arathi Highlands and Hillsbrad Foothills are optional.
- 40-50: Tanaris (Gadgetzan), Feralas (Feathermoon Stronghold) and The Hinterlands (Aerie Peak). Badlands, Searing Gorge and Azshara are alternatives.
- 50-60: Un'Goro Crater, Felwood, then Winterspring (Everlook). Moonglade, Silithus, the Plaguelands and Burning Steppes are optional.
The Deeprun Tram links Stormwind and Ironforge. Boats leave Menethil Harbor for Theramore and Auberdine, Auberdine links to Rut'theran, and the goblin boat links Ratchet to Booty Bay. The guide places these trips, your hearthstone and your flight paths for you.
WoW Forever keeps levels 1 to 60, without level scaling and without flying. Dungeons are one-and-done: their quests give a lot of experience on the first run, while dungeon monsters give less experience. Rested experience builds up at inns and campfires. The route is built around these rules.
Tips for each bracket
Levels 10-20
- Finish the Elwynn Forest quests (Eastvale, Fargodeep Mine) at the start of the bracket.
- Sentinel Hill has a flight point and an inn; The Deadmines (15-25) are in southern Westfall.
- Lakeshire is the natural follow-up to Westfall, with its own flight point and inn.
- In Forever, The Hall of Thanes (13-18) lies beneath Old Ironforge, with Alliance quests.
Levels 20-30
- Duskwood is the richest zone of the bracket; avoid Mor'Ladim and the graveyard elites.
- Menethil Harbor has boats to Kalimdor: use them to reach Darkshore and Ashenvale.
- Ashenvale is contested, with Horde outposts nearby: stay alert on a PvP realm.
- The Stockade, Blackfathom Deeps and Gnomeregan fit this bracket. Forever adds Excavation Site: Wetlands (26-31) and the City of Dalaran (28-33).
Levels 30-40
- Nijel's Point, in Desolace, has a flight point and an inn; the centaurs there are not elite.
- Thousand Needles has no Alliance flight point: plan your trips through Thalanaar or Gadgetzan.
- Theramore has a flight point, an inn and a boat to Menethil Harbor.
- Stranglethorn Vale is the busiest PvP zone: the route leaves it out of the main order.
Levels 40-50
- Gadgetzan is neutral, with an inn and a flight point; avoid the bandit camps east of Tanaris at night.
- Feathermoon Stronghold sits on an island off the coast of Feralas.
- Searing Gorge has many Dark Iron elites around Thorium Point.
- Uldaman, Zul'Farrak and Maraudon are close to this part of the route.
Levels 50-60
- Un'Goro Crater is enclosed and calm, with plenty of skinning and mining.
- Talonbranch Glade, in northern Felwood, has an Alliance flight point; avoid the demon elites of Jaedenar.
- Chillwind Camp gives access to the Western Plaguelands, which have many elites.
- Mount Hyjal is a level 60 Forever zone, used for farming only for now.

Frequently asked questions
- How long does 1-60 take as Alliance?
- It depends on your class, your race and how you play. Your guide shows an estimated time for each chapter, so you can see how long each part of the route should take for your own character.
- Which zones first?
- After your starting zone, the Alliance route goes to Westfall and Redridge Mountains from level 10, then Duskwood, Wetlands and Ashenvale, Desolace and Dustwallow Marsh, Tanaris, Feralas and The Hinterlands, and finally Un'Goro Crater, Felwood and Winterspring.
- Which dungeons are worth running?
- In WoW Forever, dungeons are one-and-done: their quests give a lot of experience on the first run, while monsters inside give less. Run each dungeon on the route once with its quests, such as The Deadmines, The Stockade or Blackfathom Deeps.
- Does the route work on PvP realms?
- Yes. The guide takes your realm type into account. On a PvP realm, hot zones such as Stranglethorn Vale and Hillsbrad Foothills weigh more heavily, and safer alternatives like Redridge Mountains or Desolace are preferred.
- Is this the same as a Classic Alliance route?
- The zones are close to a Classic route, but WoW Forever changes the rules: dungeons are one-and-done, rested experience also comes from campfires, and new zones and dungeons such as Riverglades, Mount Hyjal and The Hall of Thanes appear along the way.
