First Aid WoW Forever leveling guide 1-300
Example guide: undead rogue (Horde, WoW Forever). Create your character to get yours.
First Aid step by step
First Aid is a secondary profession: you craft bandages from cloth and use them to heal yourself or a friend out of combat or between fights. It is cheap, and it saves food and potions while you level.
Every class benefits, but it matters most for classes without strong self-healing, such as rogues, warriors, hunters and mages. The cost is very low, since cloth drops from humanoids along the route, and the time spent is small. Training the next rank takes only a short trip to a trainer.
It does not count toward your two primary professions, so it fits next to any combination, for example Mining and Engineering, or Skinning and Leatherworking. If your guide has a spare moment, a few bandages before a hard pull often replace a rest break.

Frequently asked questions
- Does First Aid take a primary profession slot?
- No. First Aid is a secondary profession, like Cooking and Fishing. You can learn it alongside any two primary professions without giving anything up, so it is almost always worth taking.
- Which classes need First Aid the most?
- Classes without strong self-healing, such as rogues, warriors, hunters and mages, get the most from it. Healers can use it too, but they rely on their own spells more between fights.
- Where does the cloth for bandages come from?
- Mostly from humanoid monsters you kill along your route, so you gather it without detours. Cloth also sells at the auction house, and tailors and enchanters buy it, so spare pieces are never wasted.
