Recommended professions
Recommended for Druid:
The druid is a shapeshifter in leather. It can fight as a bear or a cat, heal itself between fights and travel fast in animal form. However builds a step-by-step leveling route for the druid in WoW Forever, from level 1 to 60, with every quest, trainer visit and trip shown on the map.
Strengths and weaknesses
- Very flexible: Bear Form to take hits, Cat Form to deal damage, caster form to heal.
- Self-heals between fights reduce downtime and the cost of food.
- Travel and Aquatic Form save time on the road and in the water.
- Prowl lets you choose your fights and slip past monsters.
- Slow first levels before Bear Form, and every shift costs mana.
- Forms come from class quests and the trainer: some trips to Moonglade and the capitals are needed.
Forms by level
- Level 10: Bear Form, through a class quest chain.
- Level 16: Aquatic Form, through another class quest chain.
- Level 20: Cat Form, from the trainer.
- Level 30: Travel Form, from the trainer.
- Level 40: Dire Bear Form, from the trainer.
Recommended leveling spec: Feral Combat
The guide's build spends all 51 points in Feral Combat, up to Berserk at level 50: reduced costs with Ferocity, then Feral Swiftness, Thick Hide, Savage Fury, Sharpened Claws, Predatory Strikes, Leader of the Pack and the other Feral talents. You level in Cat and Bear Form. A Balance then Restoration build, up to Moonkin Form at level 40, is offered for players who prefer casting; it is slower when leveling alone.
To save gold for your mount, the guide skips spells that a Feral druid does not use alone, such as Starfire, Hurricane, Tranquility and the highest ranks of Wrath and Moonfire.
Weapons, stats and mana
- Weapons: a staff or a two-handed mace. In form, your attacks do not use weapon damage, so the weapon counts for its stats.
- Stats: strength and agility first, then stamina; some intellect keeps enough mana for shifts and heals.
- Open with Moonfire or Wrath, then shift: you keep the mana for a heal after the fight.
- Leave form to heal and drink, then shift back before the next pull.
Common mistakes
- Staying in caster form and fighting with spells after Bear Form is learned.
- Shifting too often in combat and running out of mana for a heal.
- Skipping the Bear Form and Aquatic Form quests.
- Buying every rank of every spell and arriving at level 40 without mount gold.
What your However guide includes
Your guide adds the druid class quests, every trainer visit with the spells worth buying, the Feral talent order, a weapon plan by level bracket, and safety notes for PvP realms. Create your druid to get it, or try the build in the talent calculator.
The Alliance reference druid is a night elf. Night elves can be druids, and WoW Forever also lists the High Order Skyborne as a druid race. Night elves start in Shadowglen, on Teldrassil, and train in Darnassus.
- At level 10, the Bear Form chain goes from Mathrengyl Bearwalker in Darnassus to Moonglade, then to the Moonkin Stone in Darkshore, near Auberdine.
- At level 16, the Aquatic Form chain goes through Moonglade and ends with Mathrengyl Bearwalker.
- Forever adds a Great Cat Spirit chain around level 20; its reward is not confirmed yet, so Cat Form comes from the trainer in the guide.
- From level 10, the shared Alliance route continues in Westfall; Darkshore is an option on the way.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the best druid spec for leveling in WoW Forever?
- The guide uses Feral Combat: all 51 points in the Feral tree, up to Berserk at level 50. You fight in Cat Form for damage and switch to Bear Form when a fight gets dangerous.
- When does the druid get Bear Form and Cat Form?
- Bear Form comes at level 10 through a class quest chain, and Cat Form from the trainer at level 20. Travel Form follows at level 30 and Dire Bear Form at level 40.
- Does the weapon matter for a Feral druid?
- Less than for other classes. In Bear and Cat Form, your attacks do not use weapon damage, so pick a staff or a two-handed mace for its strength, agility and stamina.
- Can I level as a Balance druid with However?
- Yes. The talent calculator offers a Balance then Restoration build up to Moonkin Form at level 40. The generated guide follows the Feral build by default, which is faster when leveling alone.
- Why does the druid guide go to Moonglade?
- Several druid class quests, such as the Bear Form and Aquatic Form chains, send you to Dendrite Starblaze in Moonglade. Teleport: Moonglade, learned at level 10, makes these trips short.
